______________with an awkward sort of grace]
Lexa sat alone in one of the empty hospital rooms feeling perfectly fine. If she was fine why was she there? Why wasn't her brother there too? Did she call 911 or something? The answers to those would remain inside the mind of Lexa. She sighed looking down at her arm. There was a bandage over the bruise and stitches. Oh. My. Gosh. Stitches! Yea, stitches. How could someone need stitches on their forearm? Lexa smiled think of the incident earlier that day. She tripped and fallen and his a metal trash can while she was at the park. She was fine enough to drive herself to the hospital to get it checked and cleaned.
Lexa sighed once more kicking her feet back and forth. She looked back up, moving the blonde strands from her face. She wore jeans and a navy short sleeved t-shirt that said LOL on it. Where is the nurse... I need to get home. The teen thought to herself as she waited silently. The room was so stiff, it had a sort of awkward grace to it. Glancing toward the curtain, then at the machinery around her Lexa became confused. Why did they put her in this room anyway? She started her what ifs in her mind... still waiting.

Lilly made her way from patient to patient, finding some to be more difficult than others. Some required their pans to be changed while others just needed some more water. Normally she had one of the other lower level nurses deal with the jobs she had now but none of them were on duty at the time so she had to do it herself no matter how gross it was.
With a soft sigh, Lilly reached her last patient to check on. She looked down at the clipboard in her hand as a small frown appeared on her soft lips. Why would Jason's sister be here but not him? she thought as she pulled back the curtain and stepped into the small room. She let the curtain fall back into place behind her and let her gaze turn to Lexa who was sitting on the bed. She obviously looked bored of being here and Lilly didn't blame her one bit. She found the hospital boring as well sometimes.
"Hello Lexa. I just started my shift not too long ago so I'm just now checking all of my patients. Why are you in here today?" she asked with a grin, walking over to the bed and putting the clipboard down on a nearby table then turned her gaze on Lexa.

_____________isn't that all that counts]
Lexa's head was down as she fiddled with the bandage on her arm. The tape wasn't to sticky so it was fun to peel off and try to stick it back on. There goes Lexa with her ADD like symptoms. Her head shot up as she heard the curtain move back and soon fall. In walked Lilly Copperheart. Lex just watched as the women moved from the entrance to the table. How had Lexa known her? Jason's old girlfriend. Lex didn't hate or dislike Lilly in any way, she was always nice, and well, isn't that just what counts?
When Lilly spoke Lexa remained still. "Well I was walking in the park and tripped and my arm hit a trash can. It's just cut up." I stayed for 30 minutes to tell someone that much? Lexa spoke and her voice trailed off. [the italics is what she's thinking]. All of the other stuff Lilly had told her went in one ear and out the other. She wouldn't be here much longer, right?

Lilly nodded her head, looking down at her bandaged arm. "Well honestly I don't see why they're still keeping you here. You should have been sent home after the last nurse saw you" she said with a frown, trying to figure out why Lexia was still there. It wasn't like she was still in need of any kind of attention or anything.
Looking down at the clipboard, Lilly flipped through the few pages there until she came across what she was looking for. "Here's the reason you're still here. They want you to get some medication in case your wound some how gets infected. Here's the prescription, you can have your brother pick it up maybe if you don't want to do it yourself" she said with a shrug, pulling the prescription out from underneath the clip and handing it to her with a smile.

_____________he'd kill me for being stupid]
Lexa shrugged when she was told she could leave. Like she'd know, she wasn't qualified for this. All she was qualified for was working at Coffee Cafe. Lexa sighed and looked around. Before she was given the prescription she decided to ask about Justin. Lexa hesitated before asking, but soon did. "So... how's Justin?" Lexa didn't know what to say and when she was done she took the paper from Lilly. Looking it over she read the instructions twice. No need to not read them then nearly kill yourself through an overdose. That wouldn't be good, plus how lame would that be at your funeral? Blah Blah Blah So and So because she accidentally overdosed her pills.
Lexa shook the thought from her head and nodded and looked up from the paper. "I'll get them. He'd kill me if he had to get my meds because I tripped." Lexa spoke with a smile and held back her laughing. She understood that her brother was to busy to deal with her flaws.

Lilly raised her gaze from the clipboard when she heard Lexa ask about Justin. She smiled and put the clipboard down on the table. "He's doing alright. He's got a bit of a cold right now though but he should be better in a few days as long as I keep giving him medicine. I mess seeing him though since I work all these crazy hours" she said with a sigh, sitting down in a nearby chair. She had a small break now since her patients didn't need to be seen right now so she could sit here and talk for a bit at least as long as Lexa allowed her to.
"I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind but then again its kind of amazing how you hurt yourself that much just from tripping at the park. It's very surprising" she said with a grin, trying to keep herself from laughing.

_____________well i hit a trash can]
Lexa didn't really know what to say. What are you supposed to say? "Well, I hit a trash can when I fell. I didn't think it was that bad until it wouldn't stop bleeding." Lex's tone was soft and sweet, like Sour Patch Kids, without the sour. Lexa sighed and she kept her eyes on Lilly who seemed to be in a chair. Wasn't she working? Or supposed to be? Well, Lexa was a patient there so talking to her was work. What an easy job! Talk to people! Where's the applications?
Lexa was now speechless. What was she to say next? Lexa's hand held the paper, folding the edges, but not creasing it. In a way it was awkward just sitting there... with nothing to say.
